Meet your instructor, Alex
Welcome!
My name is Alex and I am so glad you are here!
I've taught more than 1,000 couples, in person and online, how to dance for their wedding and I can't wait to show you my best tips and tricks to get you dancing like a pro!
But if you get stuck, don't hesitate to reach out. You can purchase an email coaching session at the end of the tutorial if you need personalized help working out any kinks with timing or choreography, or if you just want feedback on how to make your dance more stellar. I'm here to help!
Can we really learn to dance from video tutorials, even if we've never danced before?
The short answer is YES, you can learn to dance ONLINE and QUICKLY, even if you've never danced a day in your life. I designed this tutorial with beginners who have waited until the last minute in mind. I've even had a couple purchase and go through one of my courses the night before their wedding and they did great!
PLEASE NOTE: I do not recommend waiting until the last minute for many reasons, including your sanity! I am just using their experience as an example to show you that you CAN learn this material quickly!
Learning to dance requires effort, but it is so worth it! And I promise, I've made it as easy as possible.
Like learning a new language, learning to dance takes effort and consistency. You won't be able to just watch the videos and then magically be able to dance if you don't actually practice the steps.
Because this course includes the material I typically teach in two to three 60-minute sessions, most couples should be able to learn the steps in two to three hours. If you are a marathon learner or test-crammer, you might set aside several hours on a Saturday or Sunday to learn each step in the course before putting it together into choreography.
That being said, you will still need to practice after you complete the course in order to feel comfortable with the steps on your wedding day!
How to get the most out of this tutorial...
The way I would recommend going through this program is to set aside "learning time" and "practicing time" and schedule it in your calendar. Spend a half hour to one hour learning, and then spend 15 to 30 minutes for several days practicing those concepts before moving on.
You can space out learning these steps over several weeks with one learning session and four or five short practice sessions before coming back to the course material. Or, if you need to, tackle one section per day for a week.
As long as you are consistently practicing before moving onto new concepts, I promise you will look AMAZING and feel so CONFIDENT on your wedding day.
My Teaching Philosophy
I truly believe ANYONE can learn how to dance. It just takes patience, with the process and with each other, and practice.
Give yourself a pat on the back for taking the first step toward learning a skill that you will be able to use for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.
Bravo, you!
